Itinerary in Detail
This newly introduced route is less frequented by trekkers then upper Khumbu. This area is also largely inhabited by friendly Sherpa people. Mountain vistas including Mt. Everest and the fabulous culture of Sherpa community are the main attractions of this trek.
Beside that, the high pastures, pine and rhododendron forests, Sherpa villages, age old monasteries, prayer flags, prayer wheels alongside of the trail are superb.
Grade: "Moderate to Strenuous"
Main Attraction: Home land of Sherpa people, Buddhist cultural experiences, unforgettable panoramic views, well conserved vast bio-diversity.
Maximum Altitude: Chilsa.
Average walking per day: about 5-6 hours.
Best Season: October to December and April to May.
